The She Shot International Short Film Festival

At a time that gender imbalances are more than ever prevalent in the entertainment industry, having such a live screening of women directors' works during the She Shot International Micro Women's Film Festival and showing their importance as visual storytellers is paramount to encourage more participation in the industry.
In March 2017 the She Shot International Micro Women's Film Festival was established to support female directors across the world by providing a platform to showcase their work. 17 Films were selected for the Film Festival and the Triurban Media Award for Best Direction went to Karen Jackson for Aura! She also received prize money and a year's membership with the Australian Directors Guild. The event was so successful and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive that we are planning to do it again! |
